RICHARDSON, TX (09.15.18) - The UT Dallas men's soccer team was handed its first loss of the season Saturday night as the Comets were handed a 2-0 defeat by UT Tyler.

The Comets (3-1-1) managed just nine shots in the contest, three on frame by three different players. UT Tyler (5-1) rolled off its fifth straight victory, collecting 15 shots, six on target.

UTD will return to American Southwest Conference play Thursday night when the Comets visit Louisiana College. Game time is 7:30 p.m. in Pineville, La.

HOW IT HAPPENED

• The Patriots got on the board in the 14th minute when Erik Macias scored off a Mark Guerva corner kick.
• UTT added a goal in the 49th minute when Luca Pereira found net after a misplay by the Comet keeper.
