BROWNWOOD, TX (09.29.18) - There are three perfect records atop the American Southwest Conference women's soccer race at the midway point, and one of those belongs to the UT Dallas Comets, who will be battling for the conference lead next Thursday after posting a 5-0 win over Howard Payne Saturday afternoon.
UTD, now 10-0 in the midst of its best start in program history, will host the University of Mary Hardin-Baylor (6-2-2, 5-0 ASC) at 5 pm Thursday night.
The Comets (4-0 in ASC play) posted their seventh consecutive shutout Saturday afternoon, outshooting the Lady Jackets, 29-9, and putting 17 shots on net. Meanwhile, UTD kept its opponent off the board for the ninth time in 10 games, putting goalkeeper
Monica Dallacasa in a save situation just four times. UTD has given up just a single goal in its first 10 games.
Freshman
Sofia Munoz led the Comets with 5 shots, putting three on net.
Bailee Davis and
Jacquie Kaufman each had three shots.
