CLARKSVILLE, AR (11.01.19) - The UT Dallas women's soccer team put a wrap on the 2019 regular season Friday afternoon with a 2-0 shutout road victory over Ozarks in American Southwest Conference play.

Lauren Marquez accounted for game-winner in the match as she tallied her first goal of the season in the 14th minute, assisted by
Sofia Munoz. Munoz would later add her ninth goal of the season in the final minutes to secure the victory.
The Comets improved to 15-2-2 overall, on win shy of matching the program's season win record, and will head into next week's ASC Tournament as the league's No. 3 seed, closing conference play at 7-2-2.
The Comets out-shot the host Eagles (7-8-3, 4-7 ASC), 16-4, and finished with 11 shots on goal in the squad's 12th shutout of the season. Munoz and
Rana Hussein led UTD each with five shots, both finishing with three on target. UTD keeper
Morgan Sherman made two saves in a full 90-minute performance.
UTD will open the ASC Tournament Tuesday with a quarterfinal home match against a team yet to be determined. The game scheduled for 5 p.m. at the UTD Soccer Field.
