ABILENE, TX (11.08.19) - The UT Dallas women's soccer team battled Mary Hardin-Baylor to a scoreless draw in the semifinals of the American Southwest Conference Tournament Friday night, but were eliminated from the event after a 2-1 decision in penalty kicks.
The Comets will likely close their 2019 campaign with a 15-2-4 overall record, one win shy of matching the program record for victories in a season for the third consecutive campaign. UTD advanced to at least the semifinal round of the ASC Tournament for the 18th straight fall.
Third-seeded UTD finished the match with 13 shots over the 110 minutes, closing the draw with six shots on target. No. 2 seed UMHB (12-6-2) took 22 shots in the match, eight on frame. The Comets upended UMHB, 2-1, in the regular season.
