CONWAY, AR (12.20.19) - The UT Dallas men's basketball team bounced back Friday afternoon to earn a 77-69 non-conference road win over Hendrix to wrap up a two-state road trip.

Hans Burwitz snagged a career-best 17 rebounds as the Comets improved to 5-3 on the young season after Friday's victory. The Comets will now take a short holiday break before returning to action Dec. 28-29, when they host the UTD Classic.
Trailing 52-51 midway through the second half, the Comets used an 9-0 run to regain control of a back-and-forth contest. Burwitz scored the first four points of the Comet run and
Kolton Pruitt lifted UTD to a 58-52 lead over the host Warriors with 7:28 left to play.Â
Hendrix made a late surge to draw within two points, 67-65, with 3:21 remaining before the Comets closed the win with a 10-4 run. UTD held the Warriors to just 1-for-6 accuracy over the final three minutes of the contest, while hitting 6-of-8 free throws during that same stretch to seal the victory.
Weber was 11-of-24 from the field, hitting 3-of-9 three-pointers, while making 5-of-7 free throws. The ASC's leading scorer added four rebounds, three assists and a pair of steals. Burwitz finished with 14 points as the only other Comet in double figures, hitting 4-of-9 shots from the floor and 6-of-8 free shots.
UTD shot just 38.8 percent (26-of-67) from the field, but made nine three-pointers and were 16-of-20 (80%) from the charity stripe.
