BAYAMON, PR (12.20.19) - The UT Dallas women's basketball team collected its fourth straight victory Friday afternoon as the Comets wrapped up the 2019 Puerto Rico Clasico with a 69-57 win over Elizabethtown, played at the Coliseo Ruben Rodriguez.

Victoria Pena posted her second-career 30-point performance as she nearly accounted for half of her squad's offensive output in the win. Pena was 9-for-18 from the field, connecting on 7-of-14 three-pointers, for 32 points, adding nine rebounds and four steals, both game highs as well.
As a team, the Comets shot just 38.3 percent (23-of-60) from the field, but made 16-of-20 free throws (80%), to keep the Blue Jays at bay. Starter
Kelley Skinner added 13 points while
Nkechinyerem Okehi came off the bench for 10 points and eight rebounds.
UTD never trailed in the contest, opening the duel on a 10-2 and never looking back. Pena scored eight of UTD's first 10 points and had 19 points by the intermission.
The Comets will now return home as they will host the UTD Classic, Dec. 29-30. UTD will host Albion on Sunday, Dec. 29, and Rutgers-Newar on Monday, Dec. 30.
