LONGVIEW, TX (02.17.19) - The UT Dallas women's tennis team took little time to picked up its second win in as many days as the Comets cruised to a 9-0 road victory over LeTourneau on Sunday.
The Comets (2-0) did not give up single game in doubles play with all three duos claiming 8-0 victories and followed with six straight-set wins in singles play.
Frida Muedsam and
Stephanie Joseph were the first two Comets to wrap up their doubles match at No. 2 while
Sumvruta Iyengar and
Sophie Farmer at No. 3 and
Kathy Joseph and Sindhu Savula at No.1 quickly followed suit.
Stephanie Joseph opened singles play with a 6-0, 6-0, win over Hannah Moore at No.6 before
Sindhu Ravula gave the Comets the team victory with a 6-0, 6-1, win over Lauren Rockwell at No. 5.
Kathy Joseph (No. 1), Sumvrura Iyengar (No. 2), Muesdam (No. 3) and Farmer (No. 4) also claimed straight-set singles wins.
The Comets return to action Saturday, Mar. 2., when they visit Southwestern in Georgetown
