RICHARDSON, TX (03.02.19) - The UT Dallas softball team set a school record with six home runs as the Comets run-ruled Belhaven, 16-6, in five innings Saturday afternoon to wrap up a three-game American Southwest Conference series between the two teams.

Three batters later Jessica Vlasek blasted her first home run of the game, a three-run long ball to push the UTD lead to 7-3.

The Comets added a solo homer from Nicole Peters to lead off the bottom of the 2nd to extend their lead to 8-3. After a scoreless 3rd, UTD picked up a two-run homer by Kendra Litchfield with one out in the 4th, giving the Comets a 10-3 cushion.

The Blazers plated three runs in the top of the 5th before UTD ended the series with a six-run inning of their own. Vlasek led off the Comets' 5th with a solo homer, her second of the game, before Nicole Peters gave UTD a 12-6 lead with a single up the middle, scoring Amber Williams.
