LONGVIEW, TX (09.28.19) - The UT Dallas volleyball team completed its perfect run through the first of two American Southwest Conference Crossover Tournaments Saturday afternoon with a 3-1 win over McMurry, held on the campus of LeTourneau University.
The Comets (11-3, 6-0 ASC) extended their winning streak to eight straight matches after their 25-20, 25-23, 18-25, 25-18, win over McMurry. UTD picked up three-set victories over Sul Ross State and Hardin-Simmons on Friday at Solheim Arena.
Jillian Via led the Comets with 12 kills, along with 11 digs and four services aces in the four-set victory.
Catherine Croft finished with nine kills while
Allison Owen added eight kills. Croft also collected a team-high 17 digs.Â
The Comets take a break from conference play Tuesday night when they host Austin College. Match time is 7 p.m. at the UTD Activity Center.
