RICHARDSON, TX (02.26.21) - The UT Dallas women's soccer team scored twice over the final 20 minutes to rally from behind for a 2-1 road win over Ozarks Friday afternoon in the Comets' season and American Southwest Conference opener.

Down 1-0 late in the second half, UTD freshmen Bella Granada and Sierra Foster each tallied late goals to lift the Comets to the season-opening victory. Granada knotted the game in the 72nd minute while Foster netted the game-winner in the 84th minute to complete the scoring.

The Comets (now 1-0, 1-0) out-shot host Ozarks, 16-6, and closed the victory with 10 shots on goal. Foster led the squad with four shots, three on frame, while Granada and senior Keely Fillman each took three shots. Comet keeper Morgan Sherman made three saves.

UTD returns to action next Thursday, Mar. 4, when the Comets host these same Eagles in ASC play. Game time is 5 p.m. at the UTD Soccer Field.
