MARSHALL, TX (04.01.21) - The UT Dallas softball team dropped a pair of decisions Thursday night to open a three-game American Southwest Conference series at No. 5-ranked East Texas Baptist.
The Comets (now 1-18, 1-13 ASC) fell to host ETBU, 10-2, before closing the doubleheader with an 8-0 defeat. The two teams will close the three-game set with a 12 p.m. game Friday.
GAME 1 - ETBU 10, UTD 2 (5 inn.)
The Comets fell behind early before finally getting on the scoreboard late in a 10-2, five-inning loss to ETBU to open Thursday's twin bill.

The Comets doubled their hit tally from the opening game, but could not push a run across in an 8-0 loss to ETBU to close the doubleheader.
UTD managed four hits with senior
Nicole Peters going 2-for-2 from the plate, collecting a pair of singles.
Ashley Ambrosy was 1-for-2 from the lead-off spot while Todd was also 1-for-2.Â
