RICHARDSON, TX (04.07.21) - The UT Dallas men's tennis team returned to the courts Wednesday morning and fell to Trinity, 6-3, in non-conference play.

The Comets (now 5-7) picked up one doubles victory but the match was decided before collecting to late singles wins. UTD will continue American Southwest Conference East Division play Saturday with a 3 p.m. match at Belhaven in Jackson, Miss.

The No. 3 tandem of Nick Boquet and Ritvik Ganesan was the lone victory for the Comets in doubles play as the duo took down its Trinity counterparts, 8-7 (7-5), after the visiting Tigers claimed victory at No. 1 and No. 2 doubles. Trinity then collected the first four singles matches to be decided to go up 6-1 before UTD picked up come-from-behind wins at No. 5 and No. 6 singles.

Boquet earned a 3-6, 6-2, 10-3, win at No. 5 while Jed De Luna won 6-7 (8-10), 6-0, 11-9, at No. 6.
