MIRAMAR BEACH, Fla. - The UT Dallas men's golf team tied for seventh out of 24 of the top teams in the nation at the Golfweek Division III Fall Invitational at Sandestin Golf & Beach Resort Tuesday.
The Comets shot a 287-288-303=878 for a +26, 19 shots behind winner #2 Emory (+7). UTD tied for the fourth best three-round score in school history and finished ahead of six of the 15 top 25 teams in the field.
Sophomore
Daniel Shofner tied for third with a 75-66-71=212 for a -1. His score was tied for the third-lowest in school history and he tied the program mark for lowest individual round on Monday with a 66. He finished five strokes off the lead.
Junior
Davis Archer tied for 32nd with a +7 (71-73-76=220) and sophomore
Cade Eldridge tied for 47th at a +9 (72-73-77=222). Freshman
Tyler Durden was tied for 84th with a +17 and sophomore
Andrew Chow was tied for 100 at +21.
UTD will wrap up the fall at the Crusader Invitational in Thackerville, Okla. on October 24-25.
