THACKERVILLE, Okla.- The UT Dallas men's golf team wrapped up the fall season with a second place finish at the Crusader Invitational at WinStar World Casino & Resort on Tuesday.
After rain washed out play on Monday, the Comets shot a 298 (+10), finishing seven strokes behind LeTourneau. The Comets beat out 11 other teams, including seven that are ranked in the top 50 by Golfstat.
Sophomores
Cade Eldridge and
Daniel Shofner each shot a +1 73, tying for fifth place and finishing three strokes off the lead. Sophomore
Cole Wiley also took a top-10 finish, tying for seventh with a 74 (+2). Freshman
Tyler Durden was tied for 37th with a 78 (+6) and junior
Davis Archer tied for 42nd with a 79 (+7).
Eldridge led UTD with five birdies on the day.
The Comets will return to competition on March 6 at the Lidlifter in Kingwood, Texas.
