RICHARDSON, Texas - The UT Dallas men's soccer team scored a pair of goals 28 seconds apart late in the second half to give the Comets a 2-1 victory over Ozarks in the American Southwest Conference Championship Quarterfinals Tuesday night.
After a penalty kick goal from the Eagles' (9-5-5) Francisco Horta in the 64th minute, the Comets (9-5-4) tied it when junior forward
Brandon Buchanan converted a PK of his own at the 77:55 mark.

Kane Kidwell streaked down field and found sophomore
Riley O'Donnell who blasted the ball in from the right side to give the Comets the 2-1 advantage with just over 11 minutes to play.

Michael Hesse posted a pair of saves in the final minutes of the game, advancing the fourth-seeded Comets to the semifinals.
The Eagles outshot the Comets 17-15 overall, but UTD held a 9-5 lead on goal. The home team led in corner kicks 8-3, while UO led 10-9 in fouls.
UT Dallas Notes
- O'Donnell's goal was his team-leading eighth of the season, 21st of his career and fifth career game-winner.
- Buchanan scored his third goal in the last two games and moved his career total to 10.
- Kidwell recorded his team-leading fifth assist of the year and eighth in his career.

The Comets will face the top-seeded Mary Hardin-Baylor at 11 a.m. in the semifinals. The game will be played in Austin, Texas on the campus of St. Edward's University.
