RICHARDSON, Texas - The UT Dallas women's soccer team won its second game of the week, defeating Simpson (Iowa) 1-0 at the UTD Soccer Complex Friday evening.

In what proved to be a physical contest with 13 total fouls, the Comets (2-1) got on the board in the 55th minute with freshman midfielder
Janae Shaklee hit from 30 yards out on a pass from junior forward
Sierra Foster.
The Storm (1-2-1) outshtot the Comets 17-10 overall, with both teams coming up with six shots on goal. SC also led in corner kicks 6-0.
Along with
Jade Press' six saves in the shutout effort, the UTD defensive unit of
Claire O'Sullivan,
Hendrikje Bodine,
Peyton Guidry,
Skylar Williams,
Faith Autery and
Skyler Rodrigue kept the Storm from scoring.
