NEWPORT NEWS, Va. - The #25 UT Dallas men's soccer team suffered a 1-0 loss to Christopher Newport at Captains Field Sunday afternoon.
The Captains (5-1) scored the only goal of the game on a hard shot from Brendan Todd in the 60th minute. Ryan Kiley assisted the goal.
The home team outshot the Comets (3-2-1) 12-5 overall, including 10-2Â in the second half, and 6-3 on goal. UTD held a 3-1 corner kick advantage and led 17-9 in fouls.

Michael Hesse stopped a career-best five shots in his first full 90 minutes in goal.
- Junior midfielder
Kane Kidwell took two shots on goal.
- Sophomore forward
Riley O'Donnell had two shots, one on goal.

- Chris Schram and Barry Jones each took three shots, with Schram recording two on goal.
- Jonathon Leiding recorded two shots and one on goal.
