Box Score RICHARDSON, Texas - The UT Dallas volleyball team won its first home match of the 2022 season by sweeping Howard Payne 25-21, 25-18, 25-18.
With the win, the Comets improved to 7-4 overall and 4-1 in American Southwest Conference play. The Lady Jackets fall to 1-10 and 0-5.
UTD connected on 19 kills in the first set to set the tone of the match. They improved their hitting percentage in each frame, culminating with a .278 rate in the third.
Senior right side
Catherine Croft led the Comets offensively, hitting .522 on 12 kills and no errors.Â
For the match, UTD hit .213 with 45 kills, six aces, 50 digs and eight blocks. HPU hit .112 with 32 kills, two aces, 54 digs and four blocks.

- Croft moved into the Comet career top 10 after serving a pair of aces, bringing her total to 89 aces.

- Carsyn Bilbrey, Rylee Spencer and Abbie Knepper each had seven kills.
- Spencer also hit .462.
- Riley Brittain recorded 22 assists and Mitsue Rodriguez had 16 digs.
