CONYERS, Ga. - The #10/12 UT Dallas men's golf team finished the Emory Spring Invitational tied for sixth place with a +63 313-312-302=927.
The Comets were 30 shots behind top-ranked host Emory (+33), but just 11 strokes behind second place Babson (+52).
Daniel Shofner, who is ranked 13th in the nation,tied for sixth place with a 73-77-75=225 (+9) and was eight strokes behind Jackson Klutznick of Emory (+1).Â
Jarrett Grinnel and
Tyler Durden each tied for 25th with a +19. Grinnel shot an 82-75-78=235 and Durden had a 77-80-78=235.
Andrew Chow (82-80-74=236) and
Joseph Park (81-80-75=236)Â were a shot back, tying for 30th at +20.
In the tournament, Shofner recorded an eagle, seven birdies and 31 pars. Durden also sank seven birdies.
UT Dallas will be back in action at the American Southwest Conference Men's Golf Championship in Alexandria, La. April 28-30.
