MARSHALL, Texas - The UT Dallas softball team lost the third and final American Southwest Conference series game to #10 East Texas Baptist 3-1 at Taylor Field on Saturday.
The host Tigers (29-5, 16-5 ASC) outhit the Comets (20-14, 11-10 ASC) 8-4 as Hannah Kelley (12-2) struck out eight while allowing just one walk and one run. UTD starter
Kassidie Rodriguez (2-2) struck out one and hit two batters over 3.2 innings. Reliever
Marisa Mejia struck out one in 2.1 perfect innings.
ETBUÂ scored in the third when shortstop Tristen Maddox led off with a single, stole second and later scored on a base hit by Ashley Croft. A RBI-double from Courtney White, followed by a single by Delanie Loya which plated White gave the Tigers a 3-0 lead in the fourth.
Right fielder
Claire Pollack led off the top of sixth with a home run to left field for the Comets' only run.
UT Dallas Notes
- Pollack hit a solo home run in two consecutive games, brining her season total to four.
- Left fielder
Megan Cavazos recorded the fifth double of the season.
- Alexa Mullen was used as a pinch runner and stole her team-leading 12th base of the year.

MiKayla Hoffman each recorded a hit. Hoffman extended her hitting streak to six games.

- White was 2-for-3 with a double, a run scored and RBI.
- Loya and Croft each went 2-for-3 with a RBI.
