BELTON, Texas - The UT Dallas men's basketball team earned a 91-75 victory over Mary Hardin-Baylor in American Southwest Conference competition at the Mayborn Campus Center Saturday afternoon.
The visiting Comets (7-6, 3-2 ASC) and Cru (7-6, 3-3 ASC) were virtually even in the first half, exchanging leads seven times before UMHB led 43-39 at the break.
UTD shot a scorching 58.6 percent (17-for-29) in the second half, including 54 percent from three-point range (7-for-13), outscoring the hosts 52-32 in the period. The Comets led by as many as 19 before leaving with the 16-point victory.
UT Dallas shot 53.1 percent (34-for-64) overall for the game, were 12-of-30 from outside and 11-of-16 at the line. They also had 35 rebounds, 14 assists, 11 turnovers, two blocks and eight steals.
The Cru shot 37.9 percent (22-for-58) from the field, 10-of-26 from three-point territory and 21-of-28 at the free throw line with 38 rebounds, 13 assists, 12 turnovers, one block and four steals.
UT Dallas Notes
- The Comets recorded their season-best in field goal percentage (53.1) and three-pointers made (12).
- Six players scored in double-digits.
- Junior forward
Rob Wade scored a career-high 17 points and pulled down five rebounds. He was 8-for-9 from the field, shooting 88.9 percent - tied for the eighth-best percentage in program history.
- Guard
Nick Donnelly was 4-for-4 from outside, en route to 16 points, to go with two assists and a pair of steals.
- Sophomore
Austin Page recorded 14 points, six boards, a block and three assists.

Donovan Souter netted 11 points with four assists.
- Junior guard
Thibaut Tagnon posted 10 points, two assists and three steals in his first start of the season.
- Guard
Luke Kiser recorded 10 points, seven rebounds and three assists.
- Freshman forward
Jordan Balderaz led the Comets with eight rebounds and scored six points.
Mary Hardin-Baylor Notes
- Zachary Engels led the Cru with 23 points and six rebounds.
- All-American Josiah Johnson scored 20 points with eight assists and six rebounds. He was 10-for-10 at the free throw line.
- Eli Beard scored 17 points off the bench, going 5-for-5 from outside.Â
- Ryan Pondant added five points and five rebounds.
