RICHARDSON, Texas - The UT Dallas women's basketball team picked up its first home victory of the season, defeating Rhodes 76-58 at the UTD Activity Center Saturday afternoon.
The Comets (3-3) shot 61.5 percent (8-for-13) in the opening quarter and led 21-13 headed into the second. They led the Lynx (1-2) by as many as 12 points before taking a 33-26 advantage into halftime.
Rhodes opened the third outscoring UTD 13-10 and cutting the deficit to 43-40 at the 6:06 mark. The Comets answered with an 8-0 run and led by 10 at the end of the quarter. The home team extended its lead to as many as 19 late in the fourth quarter before coming away with the 18-point win.
UTD recorded season-highs in points, field goals, free throws, rebounds and steals. They shot 40.3 percent (27-for-67) overall, 3-for-11 from three-point range and 19-of-27 at the line with 42 rebounds, 18 assists, 13 turnovers, four blocks and 17 steals.
The Lynx shot 43.4 percent (23-for-53) overall, 2-for-12 from outside and 10-of-19 at the free throw line with 34 boards, 16 assists, 22 turnovers, four blocks and 10 steals.
UT Dallas Notes
- Junior forward
Addy Self posted her first double-double of the season and fourth of her career with 21 points and 11 rebounds - five of which were offensive. She also had two assists, two blocks and two steals.
- Senior guard
Alex Bowman scored in double-digits for the fifth time in six contests, coming up with 16 points on 6-of-10 shooting and dishing out four assists.
- Senior guard
Cierra Trigg registered nine points and three assists and tied her career-high of eight rebounds.

Anna Yellen added eight points, six rebounds and a blocked shot.
- Junior forward
Liv Pedigo scored six five points and pulled down five offensive rebounds.
Rhodes Notes
- Avery Marsh led the Lynx with 18 points on 7-of-13 shooting.
- Giana Vlahakos recorded a double-double of 10 points and 10 rebounds to go with five assists, five steals and a pair of blocks.
- Taylor Durpree added 11 points.
- AC Milam chipped in eight points and four assists.
