WICHITA FALLS, Texas - The UT Dallas women's basketball team lost to future Lone Star Conference foe Midwestern State 76-42 at D.L. Ligon Coliseum Tuesday night.
The Comets (4-4) held even with the host Mustangs (2-5) at 13-13 at the end of the opening period. MSU took control of the game by outscoring UTD 24-13 in the second.
The Comets shot 28.6 percent (16-for-56) from the field, 3-for-25 from three-point range and 7-of-12 at the free throw line with 29 rebounds, six assists, 24 turnovers, three blocks and seven steals.
The Mustangs shot 47.5 (28-for-59) overall, 3-of-13 from outside and 17-of-27 at the line with 48 rebounds, 15 assists, 21 turnovers, four blocks and 16 steals.
UT Dallas Notes
- Senior guard
Alex Bowman posted double-digit points for the seventh time this season, dropping 10 with four rebounds and a blocked shot.
- Freshman guard
Jayla Lewis scored a season-best seven points.
- Junior
Amanda Crowninshield also had a season-high seven points.Â

Addy Self led UTD with six rebounds and a pair of steals.
Midwestern State Notes
- Zarria Carter recorded a double-double of 22 points and 18 rebounds to go with two blocks and six steals.
- Emillia Steele scored 17 points on 6-of-8 shooting.
- Kerbie Cash added 13 points, six rebounds and four assists.
