ARLINGTON, Texas - The UT Dallas women's tennis team lost to NCAA Division I member UT Arlington 7-0 at the UTA Tennis Center Sunday morning.

The Mavericks (5-2) won the doubles point by winning at number one and two. The Comets (1-2), who are ranked #35 in Division III, were competitive in singles. UTD freshman Reika Nagai took Francisca Vergara to a tiebreaker set at #4 before falling 0-6, 6-4, 4-10. UTA's Mariana Manyoma-Velasquez defeated freshman Riya Matharoo 7-6, 6-1 in the second spot.

The Comets will host Jacksonville College in an exhibition match at 2 p.m. Monday, February 26.
