MESQUITE, Texas - The UT Dallas baseball team lost the final game of an American Southwest Conference series with Ozarks 4-1 at Eastfield College Monday morning.

The visiting Eagles (10-8, 5-4 ASC) outhit the Comets (12-7 5-4 ASC) 10-6. UTD left eight men on base and grounded into three double plays.

Ozarks opened the contest with two runs in the first. Center fielder Cole Clark singled, was bunted to second by Juan Munoz and scored on an Isaac Price double. Ethan Cash followed with a single to right center, allowing Price to score.

The Comets threatened in the fourth but left the bases loaded with out scoring. In the seventh, left fielder Josh Johnson drew a leadoff walk, stole second and advanced to third on a Payton Taylor single. Shortstop Grant Neeley plated Johnson with a fielder's choice ground ball, making the game 2-1. Two more walks issued to Lucas Rexin and Luke Finn loaded the bases once again, but reliever Isaiah Lemke got out of the jam with a ground out.

The Eagles picked up two more runs in the eighth with an RBI-single from Munoz and a double down the right field line from Nicholas Bennett, scoring Munoz.

Seth Goodrich (2-1) earned the win, allowing six hits, one run and two walks with two strikeouts.

UT Dallas Notes
- Starter Dylan Hugley struck out a career-high eight batters, giving up six hits and two runs over seven innings.
- Reliever Ben Price struck out four of the five batters he faced with the other out coming on the ground.
- Garza went 2-for-4, as did Taylor.
- Neeley laid down a sacrifice bunt.
- Johnson stole a base.

Ozarks Notes
- Lemke earned his second save of the year, striking out two and walking two in 2.2 innings.
- Munoz went 2-for-3 with a RBI and sac bunt.
- Bennett was also 2-for-3 with a RBI double.
- Price hit a double with a RBI and run scored.
