CLARKSVILLE, Ark. - The UT Dallas men's tennis team went on the road for a 6-3 victory over Ozarks in American Southwest Conference East Division play at the Alexander-Boreham Tennis Center Friday.
The host Eagles (4-6, 0-1 ASC East) opened the match by taking two of the three doubles points. The Comets (5-2, 2-0 ASC East) earned a number three win where
Snehin Yerragudi and
Noah Sam topped Kao Lemkopane and Perry Guidry 8-6. The second flight was close with UO's Kento Iwahara and Hikaru Yamaya defeating
Benjamin Dubois and
Nick Boquet 8-7 (7-2).
UTD went on to win the match with five singles points.
Andres Gonzalez defeated Carlos Molero Llopis 6-3, 6-4 at number one and
Nathan Qi won over Iwahara 6-3, 6-3 at number two.
Yerragudi was 6-0, 6-1 winner against Joshua Wilde in the third spot and Dubois took down Lenkopane 6-1, 6-2 at four. Boquet was a 6-3, 6-2 victor at number five against Guidry.
UTD will host Howard Payne in another ASC East matchup on Thursday at 1 p.m.
