ABILENE, Texas - The UT Dallas men's tennis team won 7-2 against Hardin-Simmons at the Streich Tennis Center Saturday afternoon.

The host Cowboys (7-11) took two of the three doubles points from the Comets (7-3). Andres Gonzalez and Benjamin Dubois won in a tiebreaker 8-7 (7-5) at the top spot.

UTD went on to sweep through singles play with most of the matches being close. Gonzalez topped Justus Petersilie 6-4, 6-2 at number one and Nathan Qi defeated Luke Cantu 6-3, 6-1 at two.

Sophomore Snehin Yerragudi was a winner at number three 7-6 (7-2), 6-0. Jed De Luna needed a third-set tiebreaker to win over Jordan Oberbillig 7-6 (7-3), 3-6, 10-6 at number six.

UT Dallas Notes
- Dubois and Yerragudi each improved to 8-2 in singles play.
- Gonzalez and Dubois are now 2-1 as a team.
