MARSHALL, Texas - The UT Dallas men's tennis team lost its regular season finale 5-4 to East Texas Baptist at Veterans Memorial Tennis Courts Sunday afternoon.
With the loss, the Comets (7-5, 3-1) will be the number two seed at the American Southwest Conference Championship in Waco, Texas beginning May 2.Â
The host Tigers (14-5, 4-0 ASC East) started the match by winning all three doubles points.
UTD took four of the six singles battles, but the two wins for ETBU secured the match for the Tigers.

Andres Gonzalez won 6-3, 6-3 over Sam Black at number one and
Snehin Yerragudi was a 6-0, 6-0 winner over Zachary Couch at three.
Bejamin Dubois won at number four 6-2, 6-2 against Orren Ladner and
Nick Boquet defeated Slade Austin 6-0, 6-1 in the fifth spot.
UTD will face Mary Hardin-Baylor, the third seed from the West Division, in the ASC Championship Quarterfinals on Thursday, May 2.
