LONGVIEW, Texas - The UT Dallas softball team lost both games of an American Southwest Conference double-header at LETU Softball Field Thursday.
The host YellowJackets (17-17, 10-10 ASC) took game one 8-0 in six innings, then defeated the Comets (15-18, 6-13) 7-1 in the nightcap.
Game One
LeTourneau outhit UTD 10-3, including 4-0 in extra-base hits. The game ended with three runs and a pair of doubles in the sixth for the run-rule victory.
Game Two
The YellowJackets took an early 5-0 lead after the first two innings. The Comets' lone run came in the fifth when
Erin Ledesma led off with a single up the middle, was bunted to second by
Celeste Soliz and scored on a base hit to center by
Addison Caddell.
LETU outhit the Comets 9-7 in the second game.
