VIRGINIA BEACH, Va. - Junior
Kaley Robison scored with 1:35 remaining to give the UT Dallas women's soccer team a 2-1 victory against #12 Virginia Wesleyan at Foster Field Sunday afternoon.
The goal came on a pass from
Chelsea Vilca, who ran past two defenders and connecting with Robison who booted in off her right foot to the left side of the Marlins' (0-2-1) keeper at point-blank range.
The Comets (1-1) opened the scoring just 2:40 into the contest when senior midfielder
Claire O'Sullivan rocketed a kick from just past midfield, finding Vilca who beat the keeper one-on-one. The Marlins tied up the game in the sixth minute on an Emma Shuey goal.
VWU outshot UTD 27-11 overall and 11-6 in goal. The Marlins led in corner kicks, 7-0, and the Comets committed more fouls, 11-4.

- Vilca took two shots on goal, coming up with a goal and an assist for three points.
