Men's Soccer Blanks West Texas A&M 2-0

RICHARDSON, Texas - The UT Dallas men's soccer team posted its fifth shutout of the season, defeating West Texas A&M 2-0 in Lone Star Conference action at the UTD Soccer Field Saturday.

The Comets are now 14-0-1 over their last 15 games at home.

First Half Highlights
- The Buffaloes (5-4-1, 2-1-1 LSC) initiated the attack early with a corner kick and a shot by Ben Scotford in the first two minutes, which was saved by goalkeeper Ryder Claborn.  
- Evan Pustejovsky scored the opening goal for UTD (6-3-2, 2-0-1 LSC) in the 21st minute, assisted by Avery Brazzell, giving the home team a 1-0 lead. Brazzell found a sliding Pustejovsky for his first goal of the season. 
- Claborn recorded multiple saves, denying shots from Delahmu Reeves and D'Jonte Davis, maintaining the lead for the Comets.  
- The Buffaloes continued to pressure with shots late in the half, but Claborn's consistent saves kept the score unchanged at halftime.  

Second Half Highlights
- Tabor Robinson's early shot at the 49:24 mark was saved by WT's Bryce Cottle, maintaining the scoreline.  
- Claborn made a crucial save on Sharif Mohammed's shot in the 58th minute to preserve UTD's advantage.  
- Despite consistent pressure from the Buffs, including multiple corner kicks, the Comets held firm defensively.  
- Brazzell sealed the victory with a goal in the 89th minute, assisted by Luke Harris on a long ball, securing a 2-0 win for UTD.

The Buffs outshot the Comets 10-8 overall and 7-4 on goal. WT also led in corner kicks (7-3) and fouls (10-8).
