Comets Remain Unbeaten in LSC Play with 1-0 Win over Chaps

RICHARDSON, Texas - The UT Dallas men's soccer team posted its sixth shutout of the season, defeating Lubbock Christian 1-0 at UTD Soccer Field Wednesday night. With the victory, the Comets improve to 7-3-2 overall and remain unbeaten in Lone Star Conference play at 3-0-1.

First Half Highlights
- The Chaparrals' (3-6-3, 2-2-2 LSC) Jack Brassey took an early shot in the seventh minute, missing out right.  
- The Comets responded with a shot attempt by Jordan Jones in the 20th minute.  
-  Freshman Aiden Erol of UTD had a shot in the 44th minute that went out top, keeping the score level at the half.  

Second Period Highlights
- UTD began the half with offensive momentum, earning a corner kick within the first minute.  
Evan Pustejovsky's early shots tested LCU's defense, prompting saves by goalkeeper Connor Pettigrew.  
- Jones capitalized on a penalty kick in the 53rd minute to give the Comets the lead.  

Stats Breakdown
UTD outshot LCU 12-8 overall and 5-1 on goal. Both teams took four corner kicks and the Chaps led in fouls, 12-10.
