LUBBOCK, Texas - Sophomore Jules Chavez scored with 7:30 remaining, leading to a 1-0 victory for UT Dallas women's soccer over Lubbock Christian at the LCU Soccer & Track Complex Saturday afternoon.

Senior keeper McKenzie Hunninghake came up with eight saves for her fifth shutout of the season.

First Half Highlights
- The Lady Chaps (6-4-2, 4-2-2 Lone Star Conference) initiated offensive pressure early, with Emma Best's shot saved by Hunninghake at 3:11.  
- The Comets (8-2-1, 5-2 LSC) responded with a shot from Gabby Thompson at 3:36, which was saved by Emma Wright.  
- Claire Jacobson's attempt at 14:34 marked one of several LCU shots on target, but Hunninghake continued to deny scoring chances.  
- Journey Curs and Ella Spiller had back-to-back shots in the 16th minute, both saved by Hunninghake, maintaining the scoreless tie.  

Second Half Highlights
- UTD earned a corner kick in the 51st minute, but the subsequent attempt by Jules Chavez went wide right.
- Chelsea Vilca took a shot in the 55th minute that missed the top right corner.
- Hunninghake made a crucial save on a low shot by Curs in the 73rd minute.
- Chavez converted a goal in the 82nd minute, after dribbling past a pair of defenders and ripping a shot from the top of the box.

Stats Breakdown
The Lady Chaps outshot the Comets 15-6 overall and 8-2 on goal. LCU led in corner kicks 4-1, and UTD committed more fouls - 9-4.
