TYLER, Texas -  For the first time since 2018, UT Dallas and UT Tyler battled in volleyball action Saturday afternoon at the Herrington Patriot Center. The host Patriots (8-6, 4-0) won the Lone Star Conference match-up 25-19, 25-18, 25-23 over the Comets (3-11, 1-3). 

First Set Highlights
- UT Dallas capitalized on a series of UT Tyler errors to spark a 7-0 run, building a 9-6 advantage.  
- UTT responded with a 6-1 surge, including a service ace, to reclaim the lead at 12-10.  
- After UTD evened the score at 17-17, the Patriots used a 6-1 stretch, highlighted by three kills from Alyson Robbins, to reach set point.  

Second Set Highlights
- UTT established an early 3-0 lead, highlighted by an ace from Bella Briceno and a kill by Robbins.  
- The Comets responded with a 7-1 run, taking a 7-4 advantage after consecutive errors from Kota Hartman and a kill by Jada Williams.  
- UTT regained control with a 6-1 stretch, moving ahead 12-10 on a series of kills by Audrey Brandon and Hartman.  
- The Patriots sustained momentum, closing the set with a decisive 6-1 run, ending at 25-18 after a block from Faith Wilkins.

Third Set Highlights
- Texas-Dallas took an early 4-2 lead, capitalizing on multiple attack errors from UT Tyler.  
- UT Tyler responded with a 5-1 run, highlighted by a kill from Autumn Perry, to go ahead 5-4.  
- The Comets regained momentum midway, executing a 5-0 stretch to lead 15-12, fueled by errors from Robbins.  
- UT Tyler regained control late, closing the set on a 6-3 run to secure a 25-23 victory.
