RICHARDSON, Texas - The UT Dallas men's tennis team lost 5-2 Southeastern Oklahoma State Wednesday afternoon at the UTD Tennis Courts.
The Comets (2-1) opened the match by winning two of the three doubles battles to earn the first point. At number one,
Travis Rafferty and
Benjamin Dubois defeated Benjamin Fracassi and Djordje Kurcubic 6-4 to move to 3-0 on the year..
Eddy Shteyn and
Matheus de Freitas Zanellato outlast Eric Poindexter and Luis Ching 7-6 (7-5) in the third spot.
The Savage Storm (3-0) went on to win five of the six singles match-ups. Dubois picked up a point for UTD at number four, winning 6-2, 5-7, 1-0 (10-5). He is now 3-0 on the season.
Snehin Yerragudi fell to David Palomares 4-6, 7-6 (7-1), 1-0 (10-7) at number three.
The Comets will travel to East Texas Baptist in Marshall on Friday for a 3 p.m. start.
