WACO, Texas - The UT Dallas men's tennis team lost to Baylor, the 17th-ranked team in NCAA Division I, 7-0 at the Hurd Tennis Center Sunday evening.
The national power Bears (15-8) took the doubles point from the Comets (2-8) by winning all three skirmishes.
Benjamin Dubois and
Travis Rafferty were defeated by Zsombor Velcz and Luis Jose Nakamine 6-3 at number one.
Snehin Yerragudi and
Matheus de Freitas Zanellato fell to Justin Braverman and Arman Zamani 6-3 in the third spot.
Baylor went on to win all six singles points. Luc Koenig topped Rafferty 6-2, 6-1 in the first flight and Zamani was a 6-1, 6-2 winner over Dubois at number for. Quintan Van Wijk defeated Zanaellato 6-2, 6-1 at number six.
UTD will travel to Longview, Texas on Friday for a 2 p.m. match at LeTourneau.
