LONGVIEW, Texas - The UT Dallas men's tennis team went on the road to defeat LeTourneau 5-2 at the Davis Tennis Complex Saturday afternoon.
The Comets (3-8) swept through doubles to gain the first point of the match.
Benjamin Dubois and
Travis Rafferty outlasted Zach Farris and Fernando Vazquez 7-6 (7-3) in the top battle.
Giritharan D and
Eddy Shteyn won at number two over Andrew Reiman and Diego Maldonado 6-4.
Harshom Gupta and
Matheus de Freitas Zanellato picked up an easy 6-1 victory against Timothy Black and Hayden Harry in the third flight.
The host YellowJackets (6-9) picked up wins at five and six singles, but the Comets won the top four. Rafferty took down Farris 6-2, 6-3 at one and Dubois won a three-set battle over Reiman 3-6, 6-4, 6-3. Shteyn won over Vazquez 6-4, 6-4 at number three and Zanellato defeated Liam Wedge at four 6-1, 6-1.
UTD will play at #61 SMU in Dallas on Sunday at 5 p.m.
