DALLAS - The UT Dallas men's tennis team lost to SMU 7-0 Sunday evening at the Styslinger/Altec Tennis Complex.
The Mustangs (13-15), ranked 61st in NCAA Division I, won the top two spots in doubles to take the first point.
Benjamin Dubois and
Travis Rafferty battled #45 Trevor Svajda and Louis Cloud close, before falling 6-4. The third match, which featured the Comets' (3-9)
Snehin Yerragudi and
Matheus de Freitas Zanellato, was tied at 4-4 when doubles concluded.
In singles, SMU's Ofek Shimanov defeated Rafferty 6-3, 6-4 at the top position. Maks Silagy topped Yerragudi 6-2, 6-3 at number three and Noah McDonald won over Dubois 6-3, 6-3 at four.
UTD will host Mary Hardin-Baylor on Saturday, April 5 at 1 p.m.
