RICHARDSON, Texas - The UT Dallas women's tennis team ended the regular season with a 7-0 loss to Western Athletic Conference member Utah Tech at the UTD Tennis Courts on Tuesday afternoon.

The Comets (4-8) were down a player and the Trailblazers (7-12) won the top two doubles matches to win the first point. Maya Inouye and Mariana Zurita narrowly defeated senior Megan Zeng and sophomore Reika Nagai 8-6 in the top spot.

UTU went on to win all five singles skirmishes that were played. Zeng pushed Olivia Bustos to a 6-0, 6-4 decision at number two. Inouye topped senior Jhastine Red Ballado 6-3, 6-4 at the fifth spot.

Zeng finished her career in the school top 10 with 30 singles wins and in the top five with 39 doubles victories.

The Comets will wrap up the year with an exhibition home match with Collin College at 11 a.m.
