Game Recap: Women's Soccer |

UTD Defeats ENMU 4-1 on the Road

PORTALES, N.M. - The UT Dallas women's soccer team posted a 4-1 victory over Eastern New Mexico at Al Whitehead Field Wednesday in Lone Star Conference Action.

The Comets (5-1-1, 2-1 LSC) outshot the Greyhounds (0-5, 0-2 LSC) 13-5 overall and 8-4 on goal.

First Half Highlights
- UTD capitalized early with freshman Walker scoring in the 14th minute, assisted by Lina Ullen, to take a 1-0 lead. Ullen's free kick found an open Walker, who drilled it in from the far left side of the goal.
-  Junior Gabby Thompson increased the advantage for the Comets with a goal in the 38th minute, beating the ENMU keeper and two defenders.
- ENMU had a chance to respond, but McKenzie Hunninghake saved Brooklyn Guajardo's shot in the 45th minute.  
- The Comets ended the half leading 2-0.  

Second Half Highlights
- UTD applied early pressure with a corner at the 46th minute, followed by a blocked shot from Walker.
- Sophomore Jules Chavez extended the visitors' lead to 3-0 with a goal in the 65th minute after Chelsea Vilca's assist found her in open space.
- Walker added another on a one-timer for the Comets in the 70th minute, assisted by Vilca, increasing the advantage to 4-0.
- ENMU's Louise Godden found the net on a bending corner kick in the 82nd minute to narrow the deficit to 4-1.

Gabby Thompson - league-leading 7th goal of the season and 3rd game-winning goal.
McKenzie Hunninghake - 3 saves in 81 minutes
