Comets Improve to 3-1 in LSC Shutout of Falcons

RICHARDSON, Texas - The UT Dallas women's soccer team remained perfect at home this season by topping UT Permian Basin 1-0 at the UTD Soccer Field Saturday afternoon. With the win, the Comets improve to 6-1-1 overall on the season, 3-1 in Lone Star Conference play and 3-0 at home.

First Half Highlights
- UTD maintained early pressure with two corner kicks within the first five minutes, including a high shot by Jules Chavez
- In the 20th minute, senior Chelsea Vilca forced a save from the Falcons' (2-3-1, 1-3 LSC) goalkeeper, Valeria Delgado, with a shot aimed at the bottom center.
- Momentum shifted when Gabby Thompson scored for UTD at the 31st minute, assisted by Jules Chavez, putting the home team ahead.

Second Half Highlights
- Starting the half strong, UTD earned an early corner at the 48th minute but couldn't capitalize on the opportunity.
- UTPB's Maria Tarrago recorded a shot at the 49th minute that McKenzie Hunninghake stopped.
