RICHARDSON, Texas - The UT Dallas baseball team defeated Eastern New Mexico in both seven-inning Lone Star Conference contests at the UTD Baseball Field Saturday afternoon.
The Comets (6-4 LSC) won the opener 12-9, then defeated the Greyhounds (2-11 LSC) 9-7 in the nightcap.
Game One
- Both teams recorded nine hits in the game.
- ENMU led 6-5 after two innings.
- UTD took the lead for good with a four-run third inning.
- The home team continued to lead 11-7 after four innings.
- The final runs were scored in the sixth.
UT Dallas in Game One
- Junior designated hitter
Alex Miller was 3-for-3 with four RBI, a double and a walk.
- Freshman second baseman
Gavin Barker recorded his first collegiate home run, a two-RBI shot in the third inning. He drove in three runs, scored three times and walked twice.

Kole Kinnison each hit a double.

Korson Hastings walked, was hit by a pitch twice and scored three times.
- Wallace and Miller each stole a base.

Baley Ray (2-0) earned the victory with three innings of relief.

Eastern New Mexico in Game One
- Center fielder Cole Curtis was 3-for-4 with a RBI.
- Gabriel Watson recorded a solo home run and Jake Willerup hit a two-run shot.
- Logan Martin was 2-for-4 with two runs scored and two RBI.
- Starter Alex Sanderson (0-2) allowed five hits, nine runs and six walks with two strikeouts over two innings in the losing effort.
Game Two
- The Greyhounds took a 3-0 lead in the first.Â
- McCown recorded a two-run double in the fourth to make it 3-2.
- ENMU scored one in the fifth before UTD took a lead with three runs in the bottom of the frame. Miller had a two-run double and Hastings posted a sacrifice fly.
- In the sixth, Kinnison recorded a two-run single up the middle, followed by Hastings being hit by a pitch with the bases loaded and a wild pitch to give the Comets a 9-4 advantage.
- Willerup hit a three-run homer to left field in the seventh for the final 9-7 score.
Comets in Game Two
- Kinnison was 3-for-4 with three runs and two RBI.
- Amroso had a single, walk and scored three times.
- Hastings recorded two RBI and was hit by a pitch twice.
- Miller drove in two more runs with a double.
- McCown doubled, walked, was hit by a pitch twice and drove in two runs.

Tobin Oler (1-0) earned the victory with five strikeouts, allowing seven hits, three earned runs and a walk over 5.2 frames.
- Pacot finished the game and earned another save.
Greyhounds in Game Two
- Micah Early (0-1) allowed six hits, five runs, three walks and fanned four batters over five innings for the loss.
- Willerup was 2-for-4 with a double, home run and four RBI.
- Watson was 2-for-4 with two runs scored and two RBI.
- Curtis and Eiji Sawamura also had two hits.
