LUBBOCK, Texas - The UT Dallas baseball team lost both games of a Lone Star Conference doubleheader to Lubbock Christian at Hays Field Saturday.

The host Chaparrals (8-9 LSC) won the first game 6-2 in seven innings, while the Comets (10-7 LSC) came up short in a 2-1, seven-inning pitcher's duel in the nightcap.

Game One
- Both teams record seven hits, but four of LCU's were doubles, while UTD did not have any for extra bases. 
- The Chaps committed four errors, while the Comets made three.
- Aaron Morales led off the second with a walk and later scored on a Johnny Gomez III double.
- The Comets took the lead in the fourth with two on and one out. Freshman third baseman Gavin Barker singled through the right side, scoring Alex Miller. Jake Amoroso also scored on an error on the play.
- Two errors, an RBI-single from Dylan Marx and a bases-clearing double off the bat of Freddie Nolen put LCU up 6-2 in the fourth inning.
- UTD left the bases loaded in the fifth.
- Karson Dunn (3-2) threw five innings and struck out four while allowing seven hits and a walk to earn the win.
- Comet starter Luke Nielsen (2-1) took the loss after 3.1 innings.

Game Two
- The Chaps recorded six hits, including a home run and a double, while the Comets had three singles.
- The game was scoreless through the first five innings.
- Barker drove in Albert Garza with a two-out single in the top of the sixth.
- Nolen led the bottom of the frame off with a sole home run to left field to knot the game.
- With one out in the bottom of the seventh, Morales reached on an error and moved to third on a Hudson Grace ground-rule double.
- Kyle Lewis was intentionally walked to load the bases, followed by a walk-off base on balls issued to Jorge De Los Santos, scoring pinch runner Saadiq McCain
- Aaron Rubio struck out eight batters, allowing one run, one walk and three hits over six innings.
- Isaiah Gonzalez earned the win by throwing a perfect seventh for the Chaps.
- UTD's Seth Taylor lasted five innings and gave up five hits, one run and two walks with three strikeouts.
- Tag Pacot (0-2) struck out three, but gave up the winning run.

UT Dallas Performances
- Barker went 3-for-6 on the day with two RBI.
- Garza recorded a hit in each game.
- Miller also had two hits, scored and was hit by a pitch.
- Center fielder Peyton Peoples recorded a walk, sacrfice bunt and stolen base.
- Kole Allen threw a perfect inning of relief in game one. He has retired all nine batters faced this season.

Lubbock Christian Performances
- Nolen had a home run, double and four RBI.
- Grace recorded three hits, with a double
- Gomez posted a pair of doubles in game one.
