LAWTON, Okla. - The UT Dallas baseball team overcame an 8-0 deficit to defeat Cameron 10-9 in 11 innings at McCord Field Sunday afternoon.
The Comets (13-7 Lone Star Conference), who were the designated home team due to the series venue change, were down 7-0 to the Aggies (7-12 LSC) after the first inning. Sutton Titsworth hit a three-run home as the frame's highlight. Brent Holdren led the fourth off with a solo shot to left field to give CU an 8-0 lead.
UTD picked up a run in the fifth inning and a
Chris Benavidez two-run double in the sixth made the score 8-3.
The Comets scored five runs in the bottom of the seventh to force extra innings in the first game of the twin bill.
Kole Kinnison drove in
Austin Wallace with a sac fly for the first run of the inning and
Trent McCown hit a three-run homer to make the game 8-7.
Jake Amoroso singled, stole second and scored the tying run on a wild pitch.
Ben Williams led the top of the 10th off with a walk and later scored on a wild pitch to give the Aggies a 10-9 lead. Second baseman
Albert Garza was hit by a pitch and doubled in by
Nico Fernandez to tie the game in the bottom of the 10th.
Amoroso singled and stole second in the bottom of the 11th. With two outs,
Todd Baffa hit the walk-off single, scoring Amoroso from second.
Both teams recorded 10 hits and drew six walks. Cameron hit five batters and UTD stole seven bases.

Gavin Hickman (2-1) picked up the win, throwing a scoreless 11th.Â

Henry Warta also had scoreless outings on the mound.
- Garza singled, scored twice, was hit by three pitches and stole two bases. He tied the school record in HBP in a game and moved into third place on the Comet career list with 29. Garza also moved into fifth with 31 stolen bases.
- McCown hit his 17th career home run and team-leading fourth of the season. He moved into a tie for sixth on UTD's career list.
- Amoroso went 3-for-6 with three runs scored and two steals.
- Benavidez was 2-for-2 with two RBI.
Cameron Performances
- Titsworth hit the three-run home run and recorded a sacrifice bunt.
- Williams was 2-for-4 with two RBI, a walk and two runs scored.
- Nicl Oliveira and Jackson Harrell each recorded two singles.
- Colton Popp (1-3) took the loss, throwing the last 3.2 innings.
