AUSTIN, Texas - The UT Dallas softball team dropped both games of a Lone Star Conference doubleheader to St. Edward's at Diane Daniels Field on Wednesday afternoon. The host Hilltoppers (10-27, 7-19 LSC) won the first game 9-4 followed by a 3-0 shutout of the Comets (9-19, 7-15 LSC) in the finale.

Game One Highlights
- The Hilltoppers outhit the Comets 9-7. SEU outdrew UTD in walks 10-4.
- SEU took a 1-0 lead in the first inning.
- UTD went up 4-1 in the top of the second on three hits and a pair of errors.
- Sophomore shortstop Sarah Olenick hit a two-run single in the inning.
- Claire Pollack and Rachel Wallace each had RBI-singles.
- Two errors on the same play led to the Hilltoppers picking up two more runs in the third.
- The home team tied the game in the sixth when Hanna Zachary led off with a walk, stole second and scored after a pair of wild pitches.
- Sloane Hill plated Jordyn Comer with a bunt single for the go-ahead run later in the inning.
- Aleah Hernandez capped the SEU rally with a grand slam to left field.

UT Dallas in Game One
- Olenick was 2-for-3 with a run scored and two RBI.
- Audrey Messer singled, walked, stole a base and scored.
- Pollack and Wallace each had RBI-singles.
- Avery Martin and Cadence Hernandez both singled as well.
- Megan Stulc (1-2) took the loss.

St. Edward's in Game One
- Hernandez was 2-for-4 with the grand slam and the walk.
- Catcher Dafne Mercado recorded a single, three walks and scored twice.
- Arianna Vidales went 2-for-4.
- Haley Carmona (2-8) earned the complete game victory. She allowed seven hits, four unearned runs and four walks with four strikeouts.

Game Two Highlights
- Despite being shut out, the Comets outhit the Hilltoppers 7-5.
- Errors led to SEU runs in fourth and the fifth.
- Sofia Aponte recorded an RBI-triple to center field to make the game 3-0 in the sixth.

Comets in Game Two
- Pollack was 2-for-4 at the plate.
- Hernandez went 2-for-3.
- Wallace was 1-for-1 with a pair of walks.
- Megan DeWitt and Chole Grimmer also recorded singles.
- Sophomore Katie Hart (2-2) allowed four hits, two unearned runs and two walks with one strikeout over five innings in the losing effort.

Hilltoppers in Game Two
- Kylen Padgett (7-11) allowed seven hits and three walks with two strikeouts in the complete game shutout.
- Zachary went 2-for-3 with a run scored and a stolen base.
- Vidales walked and stole a base.
