RICHARDSON, Texas - The UT Dallas women's tennis team ended the 2026 season with a 6-1 loss to St. Mary's at the UTD Tennis Courts on Saturday.
The Comets finish the season 6-13 overall and 3-7 in Lone Star Conference play for an eighth-place finish.
The Rattlers (13-10, 6-4 LSC) swept through doubles to take the first point of the match. The duel at number two was close, with Gia Posito and Breeze Simon defeating
Kendall Curley and
Katia Robinson 7-5.Â
Freshman
Sheryl Gerald earned UTD's only point at number four singles. She topped Isabella Olsson 4-6, 7-6 (7-3), 1-0 (10-7). Gerald finished the year with the best singles record on the team at 11-6.
Posito defeated freshman
Presley Churchman 0-6, 6-4, 6-3 at three singles. Sarah Wooten was a 7-5, 6-4 victor over Namrata Makhika in the fourth spot.
