LAWTON, Okla. - The UT Dallas softball team split a Lone Star Conference doubleheader with Cameron at McMahon Field on Wednesday afternoon. The host Aggies (28-25, 20-20 LSC) won the opener 2-0, while the Comets (14-32, 12-26 LSC) rebounded to take game two 2-0.
Game One Highlights
- CU's Stormee Reed and UTD freshman
Mere Cavazos were engaged in a classic pitchers' duel, with the contest remaining scoreless until the bottom of the sixth.
- The Aggies broke through when Chloe Broussard led off with a walk and scored on a double to left center from Madysen Boutwell.
- Haley Gardella also walked and scored in the inning on a Rylee Ross single to make the game 2-0.
- CU outhit UTD 5-3.
UT Dallas in Game One
- Cavazos (4-12) threw six innings, allowing five hits, two runs, four walks and one strikeout.
- Shortstop
Blair Collier went 2-for-2.

Cameron in Game One
- Reed (16-6) fanned nine batters in the three-hit shutout to go with three walks.
- Boutwell had the only extra-base hit of the game and was 2-for-3 with an RBI.
- Gardella drew three walks and scored.
- Broussard, Ross and Kyndel McDaniel also singled.
Game Two Highlights
- The nightcap was almost a mirror image of the opener, featuring another pitchers' battle between
Katie Hart and Madison Fulfer.
- The game was scoreless until the top of the sixth. With one out, Wallace walked and Collier hit a bunt single.
- Pollack followed with a single to center field, driving in Wallace for the first run of the game.
- Collier made the game 2-0 by stealing home while Pollack swiped second.
- The Comets outhit the Aggies 5-2.
Comets in Game Two
- Hart (4-6) went the distance, striking out one with two hits and eight walks allowed. It was her second shutout of the season.
- Collier was 2-for-3 with the steal of home.
- Pollack had the RBI and stole a base.
- Holm singled and stole a base.
- Martin also singled.
Aggies in Game Two
- Fulfer (7-9) gave up four hits, two runs, a walk and three strikeouts over 5.1 innings.
- Reed finished the game and struck out two with one hit allowed over 1.2 frames.
- Broussard and Boutwell each went 1-for-3 with a walk.
- Gardella drew four walks.
