Benjamin Dubois and
Claire Pollack were the recipients from UT Dallas to receive the Lone Star Conference Scholar-Athlete Award, the league announced Tuesday.
Each academic year, the Conference presents a Scholar-Athlete Award to one male and one female student-athlete who are members of the graduating class at each LSC institution. Award recipients are selected by their campus and represent outstanding accomplishments in scholarship, athletics, and leadership. Honorees must have participated in their sport for at least two years.
Dubois, a men's tennis player from Bromont, Quebec, was a three-time College Sports Communicators Academic All-District honoree. He also served as the president of the UTD chapter of the Chi Alpha Sigma Honor Society and was a member of the Student-Athlete Advisory Committee. Dubois was also the 2026 LSC Sportsmanship Player of the Year in men's tennis. He completed his career with 26 singles wins, tying for eighth in program history. Dubois graduated with a degree in Psychology.
Pollack, a softball player from League City, Texas, was also a three-time CSC Academic All-District selection and was inducted into Chi Alpha Sigma as a junior. She finished her career fourth in hits for the Comets with 167. She also hit .346 with 101 runs, 26 doubles, 12 home runs, 73 runs batted in and 22 stolen bases in her four-year career. Pollack graduated with a degree in Biology.
