ARKADELPHIA, Ark. - UT Dallas sophomore outside hitter Jane Burkhardt and freshman middle blocker Savannah Welch were selected to the Bettye Wallace Invitational All-Tournament Team after helping the Comets go 2-1. 

Burkhardt, from Phoenix, Ariz., led UTD with 3.00 kills per set and added 5 digs and two blocks. She recorded a double-double of 12 kills and 10 digs in Friday's sweep over Arkansas-Fort Smith. Burkhardt finished off the weekend with another 12 kills in a four-set victory against host Henderson State.

Welch, from Montgomery, Texas, hit .218 with 2.00 kills and 0.70 blocks per set. Her breakout match came against HSU on Saturday, hitting .400 with 14 kills and four blocks. 

The Comets will open the Denton Volleyfest on Thursday on the campus of Texas Woman's with #12 Central Oklahoma at 4 p.m.
