LAWTON, Okla. - The UT Dallas volleyball team completed its opening Lone Star Conference weekend with a 25-17, 15-25, 25-17, 25-22 victory against Cameron at Aggie Gymnasium on Saturday afternoon.
The Comets (6-5, 2-0 LSC) gained a 19-11 lead in the opening set. The Aggies (0-12, 0-2) made a slight 4-0 run, but UTD closed it out with a 6-2 rally of its own.
After CU took set two easily, UTD led 17-15 in the third before finishing it off on an 8-2 run. The rally included a pair of aces from
Scarlette Young.
The fourth set remained close throughout and was tied at 22-22. Back-to-back kills by Young and an attack error closed out the match.
The Comets hit .171 with 49 kills, 11 aces, 79 digs and three blocks. The Aggies hit .123 with 40 kills, five aces, 73 digs and three blocks.
UT Dallas Notes
- Young finished with her third triple-double of the season, recording 10 kills, 18 assists and 11 digs to go with three aces.
- Outside hitter
Jane Burkhardt posted a double-double of 18 kills and 10 digs.
- Middle blocker
Laura See had nine kills and three blocks.
- Libero
Avery Gray came up with a season-best 32 digs and three aces.
- Setter
Lola Fisher added 12 assists.

Cameron Notes
- Maria Osorio led the Aggies with 12 kills.
- Caitlyn Cornell hit .529 on 10 kills.
- Sydney Walker recorded 19 assists and nine digs.
- Setter Mavery Salisbury had 12 assists and 10 digs.
